it sure would.

but lets go back to the moon
and then onward more to Mars and
explore the rest of our solar system...first.

and with ionic or plasma propulsion perhaps???

how about a Stargate SG-1?

I'm sorry there is already one for tv and also
the Atlantis one too. But seriously, a portal
or Stargate or something.
Get those physicists off their quantum superstrings,
stop theorizing and actually start building something
like this. True!

With all the technology that was theorised over the years, I want to know where our futuristic transport systems got to because cars and busses are boring.

well, I got an Ecopass
and from Hitachi.

So I can ride all the buses and
the light rail for free.

A lot of it has been put on hold, or locked up
or for the rich and privilege few.
Transportation is a means and method
for power, wealth, and control. Just like
information. "We want information!"
Patrick McGoohan found that out in the Prisoner.

one of my best over all tv series. True.

The only problem with this new planet, is even Captain Picard of the Star treck Enterprise would have trouble getting there:

Their Spaceship speed is measured in warps (unless they are just cruising on thrusters/engines):

Warp 1 - Approximately the speed of light

At warp 1 it would take 20 years to get there...

The highest they go is about warp 14.1

(Yes, I am a Trekkie )

The distance you actually travel under warp speed varies a lot throughout all of the Star Trek universe. Like how they can travel to the edge of the Galaxy so often.

well,

what about the Elosians or was it the Iconians
with those gateways they built and can travel
anywhere within the Universe??
Remember MadProff, and others too when Picard,
Data, and Worf beamed into that strange room
on that planet to stop the probe from destroying them??
Data was interface somewhat with their language.

Even Tesla I hear or read...though I don't know
if it was true...was working on some kind of
multi-dimensional device and with his Tesla coils too.

um...check it out dudes.

The answer to teleportation: have a room that reads all its contents, desinigrates it, and send the signal to another box and it finds all the atoms and everything to construct the data scanned and whala, you have a dead desinigrated guy and a replicate where the dead guy wanted to go and nobody knows about the dead guy cause he's desinigrated and there's a 100% perfect clone of him running around.

Or maybe scratch that desinigration part for a cloning device...

@Mad Prof

Warp 14?!

"Captain Picard of the Star treck Enterprise" (you spelt trek wrong!) can't get Warp 9.99, because that's practically the same as being in every point in the universe simultaneously and requires infinite power.. So says the Next Gen Technical manual.
They changed the parameters of Warp Factors between the Classic trek and the Next Gen trek, so maybe you're confusing your factors up!

.. But of course, we all know that Picard's Enterprise D could reach Classic Warp 16, anyway..

Uhh... yeah. Remind me to never try any of your teleportation devices in the future.

In the last episode of Next Generation, the future Enterprise went faster then warp 10. Another huge inconsistency.

Personally, I always go with The Next Generations claims on the workings of the Star Trek universe because it was easily the best series (except maybe some stuff that comes from the original series).

I agree, better graphics, better ideas and Picard is a good Captain

hahaa

yeah, as Clara would say:

Where's the wormhole!??

in this case....and if you don't know Clara

I think it would be a matter of temporal distortion
and the bending and manipulation of the 4 dimensions
inorder to travel afar and vast distances...such as the
many light years. Perhaps the bending and utilizing light itself.

on the subject of Star Trek....
I really like Star Trek Voyager as well. Captain Jane way could kick Picards' arse anytime.
He still be thinking courses of actions and drinking
his cups of tea. He wouldn't know what hit him.
Janeway is one tough of a Captain. True
