98 on my second try! Take that, Eikon!

Just joking, of course -- I couldn't keep up that pace for all that long, and when it comes to programming, rarely is there every an extended period of paragraph-typing.

I learned in school on a program called MicroType.

Eikon!!! Havent seen you since BC. The guys here told me you come by on and off. Kewl! I still visit both your sites on and off. Especially NCGhost.com. Big fan of that one. I have always wanted to come along on one of the hunts but never have the time with my work schedule and my kids and wife. Oh well. At any rate its great to see you again.

Hey Orion, it's great to see you too! I do stop by every once in awhile to see what my fellow blitzers are up to. I'm glad to hear that you enjoy the NCGhost site. Don't feel too bad about missing any hunts, we haven't been active lately and it will probably be late fall to early winter before we get started back up again. These are our latest two pics, taken about a month ago:

We frequent areas around NC/SC, so if you're near either, we'd love to have you join us sometime. Peace.

I touch-type, got a 65&100%. Like the others, it's mainly the reading that's holding me back. A friend of mine types with only 4 of his fingers, and can get over 100.. I don't know how he does it.

Actually I live in hickory, NC! So your not really that far. Its just getting the time off and stuff. Its hard to get people to work for ya in the restaurant business! Especially the damn mexicans. They'll do what ever for each other but when another white boy needs a favor they dont step up.

I remember when I was still at school, typing classes were done on mechanincal typewriters. I also remember the pain from the cuts and scratches, when my fingers sometimes slipped and got caught between the keys.

Lol. We had both mechanical and electric. 2 mechanical. Mostly electric. We rotated machines everyday. So that way everyone would have to use the mechanical ones. But we only had to do that if we had enough students to fill those machines. And everyone had to use them at least once. I geuss it was her way of proving to the school that they were still usefull instead of dumping them?

@ Instinct...

I dunno about the "learn to type right part", but I definately learned what pain is

When the Amstrad PCW series was first introduced to the school, there was a sigh of relief from many of the students.
