My f*cking computer's gone potty again!
One of my file extensions is refusing to associate with the program i need to open it with. Specifically .nds files will not open, or rather windows will not use desmume to open them.

When i right-click on the icon, open with... the emulator is not in the list, but if i browse for the file, fine it, select it, windows refuses to add it to the list.

Can anyone help with this? As i am usually messing about with coding on the ds, i really need this specific file type to be associated.

Are you able to fix it by going to "My Computer" then clicking "Tools > Folder Options..." and heading over to the "File Types" tab?

Or is this a much bigger Windows problem?

Steath - it is apparently something to do with windows noticing the file was gone for a short time while i was updating it and now windows doesn't like anything being associated with it now. I cheated to fix it, i renamed the emulator and its happy(ish) to associate with it now.

Afr0 - Without wanting to start any sort of argument, what?

I dunno, Windows does weird stuff all the time. Can you just right click the file and go to "Open With > Choose Program..."?

Did you not get what I said last night in the MudChat? You need to step up you game! If you think walking up to a chick saying 'Hello!' is gonna cut it, you're wrong.
