It seems the ashes have started. Well, we Aussies are gonna whip you Pom's. The Barmy Army will go home very sad at the end of this series.

You can watch (read) the action here: content-aus.cricinfo.com/australia/engine/match/249222.html

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about (you Americans, mostly), here's a link to wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ashes

*Growls and Snarls*

Dad's Army? We have a team composed of THE best players on the face of the earth. We have players in the wings. You'll see a lot of them in the one day series.

Though, what should I expect from a New Zealander?

I assume you're talking about soccer?? yes! true?!

if you are...my family is into soccer, and a few other sports. I used to wrestle and run cross country in high school.
yet, now, I'm the weird and abstract sheep in the family. But not a black sheep and neither a white sheep. I'm a sheep with the colors of the rainbow. ahhhhhh!!!, I'm the Silicon Sheep. Intense clear pure colors in a crystalline fashion. true.
I frequent the various Temples of Baa at times.

to quote Cheshire Cat:

"I'm Odd!"

The Ashes is something to do with Cricket.

There's village's cricket ground is about 30-odd steps away from my house.. They play games there most weekends.

I still know nothing about cricket.

oh, criket.

I used to play croquet at times when I was younger. my whole family too. Even better... when us kids in the neighborhood used to play freeze tag and especially at the school on the weekends. We used to arrange the green lunch tables and climb and run on them all the time. fun, but dangerous at times.

Australia can still win. Plus, it is a clever ploy to retain interest in the series. If we let England win one game, then more people will go to the matches .

Or something like that. At any rate, Ponting will not let us lose the Ashes on Australian soil.

How dare you!

It's better than those silly dark green ones we had during the Commonwealth Bank Series. Also, why on earth was it sponsored by Commonwealth Bank? Why not VB, like usual, even if VB is complete ****.
