Next month I am going to be meeting with representatives of Teeside University to see how far they are in their development of a Master's degree programme/module for iphone/mobile gaming.

However, until then I was recently informed of the Game camp at Birmingham City University; I hope it is useful for someone.

I've sent them a list of questions as it is something I'm interested in too; especially as it would be a) cheaper than a master's degree and b) more vocational.

But you never know with these things. I'll post back when I have further details.

I have some further information. For more detailed info you should contact them directly.

The course runs Monday to Friday 9-5 from 8th November to 3rd December.
The first week is a training week, Weeks 2-4 are production weeks

The course is based at The NTI in Birmingham https://www.ntibirmingham.co.uk/training/contact.aspx

During the first week of training as a programmer you receive three days intensive iPhone SDK & Objective C training, one day games design fundamentals & games industry overview, 1/2 day working with client briefs training and 1/2 day receiving the brief and meeting your client/mentor.

The mentors are Dave Verwer of Shiny Development and Guy Wilday as well as others from AAA background

I have no information on temporary dorms/rooms; obviously going to Birmingham for 1 month or more would be prohibitively expensive.
