oh by the way, I got offered a macbook (late 2006) which I think can run osx 10.7 lion but cant be upgraded to mountain lion... does it really matter if I cant upgrade? I just want to use it for developing for ios and osx. Does anyone know?

I had to upgrade to Lion to use the latest XCode, but haven't been forced to upgrade to Mountain Lion... .. Yet..

the "yet" part sounds worrying but I guess for 200 eur it's worth a try! (thanks for the info)
