Sorry Afr0! I cant find the right solution to storage under here.  its too narrow for 2 of the plastic drawer towers, width is 680mm cant find a cheap kitchen unit but think it will stick out too much. you guys are clever, can you help?

You must have one hell of a torch there, I've never seen an under-stairs cupboard so bright.

Aaah, the cubby hole! Never a good place for anything, but a handy place for everything. Ours holds a huge box, which contains a whole bunch of ceiling tiles! There's also the Electric Meter in there, and a nice big Chest Freezer in front of it all, just to irritate the crap out of the Meter Reader Guy whenever he comes to read the meter. ... um.. nice phone!! Not sure, really.. just a couple of cheap natty shelves should do the trick. Maybe wait until you're throwing out an old wardrobe, then dismantle it, and throw it back together as a set of shelves. Depends on how heavy all that stuff is, really! Meccano Shelves? Oooh, yeah, speaking of which, our local Meccano bridge officially opens, tomorrow! woot!! -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''

yeah, I was going to say some shelving too - just buy yourself some brackets and a length of shelving. Sorted. Meccano bridge not open yet? Hulk Smash!

Well dabz if I had a table saw (or the new Yankee workshop!) I could but time and tools limiting I just bought one set of plastic drawers and a shelf, looks OK as I plaster boarded the bare wall too, luckily the space that needed covering was 903mm, 3mm wider than the board that will fit in my civic. Looks good but I bet the missus does appreciate the effort --- @Steve 1) a lift would be cool 2) there is a light in there!

I'm OK at sawing, when I concentrate and not take my thumb off lol, aye! On a different note, my younger brother is an absolute knacker when it comes to tools, he buys everything... And literally fannies on like a complete bitch when he does anything (He designed a rejig of his bedroom on CAD FFS, me, bit of plasterboard, a pencil... Quick jot... Bosh!) He is actually amazed that I build extensions with a tape measure, string lines and a level, but, at college, they taught you the old ways as well as the new, so, I dont need to shell out hundreds of pounds on dumpy levels or lasers or out like that! I work on a 3mm tolerance, which, is more then precise for building, every job I've done, has passed with flying colours by building control, so much so, the building control officer who came to Esh actually praised the extension because it was built "right", no corner cutting, and, to top it off, he actually said he would've bought Esh if it was closer to where he lived already! Yeah the Romans didn't have lasers and AutoCAD! I'm no carpenter but I get by. I opted to do electronics in school which started fine but turned into woodwork after 1 term

All the GCSE in electronics was 1 term the rest was general design + tech. Rubbish. Learnt more from my dads old magazines
