Going by this tutorial, I'm wondering if Toonz could be used as a sprite tool. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfD1sQiAlGs

Certainly looks like a powerful tool.
Could be fun to piss about with it!

I'll give it a go when the download becomes available. Even if it doesn't allow for saving out as a sprite strip, there's nothing stopping us from doing a screen grab for each frame then putting it manually into an image.

Peasy:-

1) Export to video
2) Use a tool to extract each frame from the above video (There's bound to be tons out there), extract with something like "frame0.png", "frame1.png", "frame2.png"
3) Write a little Blitzy app that loads and copies a rectangled area from each frame and plops it into, say, a large image buffer (Blitz3D), Pixmap (BlitzMaX)
4) Save image buffer/pixmap and voila... sprite strip!

God I'm good!

Pretty sure VirtualDub can take a video and extract frames... It certainly does it the opposite way around!

@Dabz:
That's exactly how I got the sprites for Mutant Monty, I saved out the emulator's game play as video and then screengrabbed the sprites frame by frame.

For anyone that hasn't worked it out already, this page gives directions for downloading Open Toonz.

At 1:20, it sounds like the nurse is saying "puss puss puss puss puss puss puss puss puss puss puss puss puss puss......"
