Sorta... but I still haven't tested the 12V line on my CPC monitor, or the MP2. Accessing the floppy drive with the MP2 causes the power to trip off, and the drive is stone dead when running of the monitor's 12V feed. So suspect they're both faulty, but in different ways, and the floppy drive might actually be fine now I repaired the iffy wiring.

I'm still not even sure why mine's not working.. Haven't even looked into it. I turned it on, it went "grrrrr" and I assumed it was the drive belt.

Probably is, if it's the original belt. If it's been sat unused for years the belt will have perished and adopted the "shape" of the spindles. Not expensive to replace, but they're a right bugger to do.
