Got my SSP through on my payslip today... I'm pretty much stunned... Week 1, SSP £88.45, PAYE Tax £35.20 Net: £53.25 <----- FIFTY THREE POUND AND TWENTY FIVE PENCE THATS SUPPOSED TO LAST A WEEK!!!!!!!

Delving in, and thanks to Dave... Come to the conclusion there's a huge massive balls up somewhere! Last year I was on a taxcode I shouldnt of been on, and for some reason I havent a clue, they've put me on the 40% tax rate!?!?! Got the brothers wife to have a look on at it, but as it goes, I've overpaid tax last year as the tax code I was on doesnt give me that tax free allowance... Bastards!!! Yep, that sounds like JUST the sort of issues you need to contend with, when you're already in a "Not 100%" condition. *sigh* Nothing's ever easy. Yeah... It's a shitfest, I have one more week on the sick, then thankfully, I'm back to work, completely starting again. It is actually a good job I'm a good little saver, never used to be mind, but, dunno, I'm more inclined to shuffle money aside for a rainy day... And in the last six months, it's been pissing down!
