Socoder -> Microsoft Gaming -> Rock Band 4 - Full Restore

Jayenkai
I bought this a few days ago.
I only ordered the Guitar pack, as opposed to the Drum and Microphone, too, pack, because of two things.
1) I already have drums taking up space upstairs. Not sure if they're compatible, but didn't really want any more of the bloomin' things.
2) F'ing skint, by this point, if I'm honest!!!

So, ordered the game, and was happy to see that any previous Rock Band 3 (x360) purchases were compatible with this XBone edition, as long as I used the same MS account.
Indeed, when in the game's store, the old tracks show up as Purchased! Nice!!

...
But how the fuck do you get them to work?!!?

Turns out, it's a bit of Microsoft Confounding that's in the way.
.. this is now 3 days after I bought the fucking thing, and I've only just worked it out.

Thought I should make a post about how to get them working, because trawling the net wasn't helpful.

Restoring / How to restore old Rock Band tracks on Rock Band 4 - XBox One

On the messy XBone menu, head into "Games and Apps", highlight Rock Band 4 and hit the Menu button (e.g., the three-stripe button that used to be "Start"). From there, "Manage Game" and you should find all your old tracks are listed under the Download queue, sat there, waiting, but hidden under so much Microsoft garbage you'd never fucking find the damn things.
There's an "install all" button. Hit that, and all your old tracks will be lovingly restored.

Such a fucking pain in the arse.

*sigh*
I'm off to play Still Alive!
