Socoder -> Off Topic -> Why would Honda make PLASTIC oil filter housings

Total fail on my second oil + filter change on the old (10 years that is) honda. Got damn plastic housing innards sheared - now 10 seconds after running the engine pisses oil from the oil filter seal - off to the garage she goes then.

Yeah, I could try and get a new casing for 35 quid and try and fit a replacement one maself, can't really be arsed removing all the oil filter housing from the engine block to make sure theres no broken bits of plastic in it though.
