Not a single one! Everything went perfectly fine. Nothing is wrong with anything. It is good.

It's all the clothes that are upside down.

FFS..

Bought TV. Waited for TV.
TV didn't turn up until after 8pm. No time. Had to wait until tomorrow to plug it in.

Plugged TV in. Bad signal, not quite 100%.
Had to buy One-For-All Signal Booster. No idea if that'll even do the job. Might need a "better" aerial. But for now this'll have to do.
Waited for Signal Booster. Signal booster didn't turn up until after 8pm.
Next day, go to plug in Signal Booster, and it needs a Male-To-Male co-axial cable. Every wire I can find in my decades of TV/Computer/Console ownership are ALL Male to Female. So.. Gotta buy a fucking cable, now, too.
Ordered that, and it'll be here tomorrow. .. Probably after 8pm.

I am SO pissed off right now.
Why didn't the bloody thing come with a cable!? How hard would that have been? Seriously!?

And whilst I'm on a rant, why the hell doesn't the TV include a signal booster?! The One-For-All booster is about the size of a matchbox. How hard would it be to integrate that into the telly!?
Jesus fuck, companies, stop fucking me over!!!!

If I could get out the door, and into town, I could've had a fully functional TV days ago.

Struggled to fit wardrobe doors in place.
Felt useless.
Gave up.
Cried myself to sleep.

Considered leaving Sky many times, but the thought of going back to normal TV aerials after this... meh.

Oh that reminds me - need get the missus to ring Sky and tell 'em we want out, so they give us a discount.

@GfK - You don't have to go back to aerials - get FreeSat; it uses your SKY dish. The SKY dish is your to keep, even when you cancel SKY.

The problem is with Sky... Is that, you get sick of it, take it out, then miss it... So you get the sod back in... Then you get sick of it again, take it out, then miss it... So, you get it back in again. Rinse repeat

There are two things wrong with Sky.

1. The cost
2. 20 minutes of ads out of every hour.

Most of Sky we could live without. We're basically paying £62/month for SkyF1, a couple of movie channels, and kids TV.

£62 a month! Can you feel the squeaking of your kidneys?

I've not missed SKY in over a year - I can get everything they broadcast by other means anyway (if I wanted0.

Just wangled a discount- half price sky cinema for 12 months. Saves me nearly a tenner.

Can just about live with that.

This seems to be a common topic, here. I know we've done this before!!
GfK needs his sports, and there's no "legal" way to do it without paying for a fuckton of shitty Sky channels along with it. Which is fucking disgraceful.

I'm certainly glad I don't give a rats arse about sports!

Me either, generally. But Sky know that by keeping the rights to F1 to themselves, they've got millions of people by the balls.

I know channel 4 or 5 or whoever it is have rights to half of the races, but as an F1 fan, I want ALL of the races. As a sports hater, Jay wants NONE of the races. So who the fuck are they marketing the 50% coverage at? Nobody, that's who.

Maybe I'll hit the jackpot at this programming lark one day, then I won't care about giving Murdoch my money. I'll have so much money I'll make him look like a peasant! Mwahahahahaha etc.

I haven't watched terrestrial tv in about 2 years. Pay 7 quid a month to Netflix. That is it.

No adverts
Watch what I want when I want

And to be fair, they are delivering more fresh/new content than I can possibly watch. A lot of it is pretty decent.

Gone are the days of watching the same repeats of Stargate/NCIS/Whatever with 20 minutes Ads every hour and a really really slow shitty box. (I'm looking at you Virgin Tivo)

And I don't care about sports

*tsk* Stargate with Ads?!
Buy the DVDs and rewatch the adventure with Commentaries!!!
(The SG1 Commentaries from Season 4 onwards, are easily some of my favourite DVD Commentaries!)
