Love that, yes very alien breed-like (great), you just need a motion tracker and to nuke it from orbit, game over man, etc

Cloudy Bees

This game might've been better, had I not spent about 3 fucking hours, yesterday, trying to draw a decent Rainbow using sprites.
.. In the end I drew circles. Should've done that from the start.

You can Play Cloud Bees in GotoJSE.
Weee!

Quadoban

Poor Ted Bob. He thought he was done shifting blocks around a maze, but.. Nope. The task is never complete.
Shift all four boxes onto their pads, to complete each level. You have a limited number of moves, and ALL the blocks are pushed simultaneously, so think carefully.

You can Play Quadoban in your browser, on Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.

You could apply that idea to lots of game types - like your helicopter rescue.

A fair number, yeah, it's a nice enough style.
One thing I found when drawing.. .. the very first sprite.. was that you have to have sprites that work flat. Either that or somehow create a sort of two-axis sprite...? (Front and side views, rotated 90 degrees)
Otherwise it completely shatters the illusion when they go off to the sides.

My first sprite was a cube.
Didn't work AT all!!!

Possibly. Maybe not a wrap, unless. ... The spikes move..?

I was thinking of two possibilities.

1) the spikes that wrap to the left side of the tube disappear, new ones are generated at this location as needed.

2) or you have a fixed density of spikes distributed around the tube and once you pass them they move or evolve into something else.

A third comes to mind, a spiral instead of a tube. You go round and up. Like nebulous.

I think the ball might be happier bouncing downhill, rather than up

I was imagining the spikes being assigned new heights when at the left, then whilst visible in the background, smoothly moving to those new positions.
But then I'm also thinking that might be too much going on, onscreen!!

I really like the idea, it's like those arcade games that have that distant layer to show you what's coming up next before they appear for you to shoot. But the tube is easier to visualise and understand.
