Mm, that peanut brittle thing sounds nice.

It wasn't anything like peanut brittle though - it was soft and there was no toffee. I like peanut brittle. And I liked this. But they are totally different. As I said, it was weird texture-wise.

There's no E's or otherwise in the ingredients... Maybe that's what they mean about "Artificial"?
Who cares, Bacon!

Are the Frooties chewy or boiled?
Been ages since I had some nice chews. They always seem to melt a bit, no matter what the stored temperature, and then those little wrappers are just a horrible sticky gooey mess, and then you end up with random bits of paper stuck in the sweet and .. yeuck.
Bah, humbug.
.. Mmm.. humbugs..

Current snack of choice is a big bag of Aniseed Balls. No gooey stickiness, there.

Sorry, I should have said - they're all chews.

I haven't had aniseed balls in decades. Loved them as a kid.

I think "Spring Onion" is better known than "scallion", although they are the same. I've never heard anyone call them scalliions, although I knew the term and what it was. Perhaps Tayto felt it was too "Irish"?

TBF This whole box of foodstuffs has been pretty good. I've missed the wonderful packaging of the Chinese/Eastern foods, but not the fishy/oceanic stuff. Bleurgh!

I dunno, it's just always baffled me that they're Spring Onion, when they're quite happy to do Smoky Bacon and Wuster Sauce.

Smiled a bit seeing the number of Herr's selections. When I lived in Maryland, numerous potato chip, pretzel, corn chip brands were made just up the road from me in Pennsylvania: Herr's, Snyder's, Utz, Golden Flake, Benzel's, Wise and a few more I can't remember.

The shards and crumbs, from manufacturing often get sold to local cattle ranchers as feed. Family member who works in a meat packing plant went up to PA to inspect the cattle ranch they were buying from and all of the cows had orange stuff around their mouths, from being fed broken pieces of cheese puffs.
