Chapter One


Once a year the tree arrives,
From which the gifts dispense.
Stockings filled with oranges,
And golden chocolate pence.

The coders sit with presents wrapped,
And family all around.
A micro in the corner,
For a cheery 8bit sound.

Chapter Two


Advent's come and filled our hearts.
We've counted all the days.
And generated content,
In so many different ways.

Some made things in a renderer,
Whilst others, pixels drew.
Fitting in the content,
When they had the time to do.

Over in a different thread,
The doors were opened fast.
The coders posted pictures,
Of the things which wouldn't last.

From silly rubber supermen,
To Lego fit for tipping,
The Advent did continue,
Though the vids weren't quite as gripping.

In amongst the festive treats,
There lurked a brand new fear.
A warning from beyond the web,
To halt your festive cheer.

Beware the hackers in the dark,
Be careful, stop and think.
They'll hack into your house at night,
And use your printer's ink.

The light outside is telling us,
It's time to end our day.
We'll settle, eating biscuits,
With our brand new games to play.

Be sure to sing your heart out,
