Every Friday, or Thereabouts

; Hello World

I skipped out, last week.
I honestly tried to write the newsletter, but only got as far as this top section, where I sat and ranted and swore and wrote a heck of a lot of nasty things.
I opted to give up trying to post the week's newsletter, and try my best to get out of the horrible funky foul mood that I was in, instead.

So, cheered up and trying to stay that way, it's time to look to the future, and see what joyous things the world is going to bring..

Oh, fuck..

Here comes Brexit... ... maybe..

; Marching Orders

My plan for this month is NOT going well.
I had intended to use this month to finally tackle a nice big thing that I've been putting off for .. years!!
I set up a nice "Get it done, or forever abandon it" themed challenge on the site, and the plan was to finally get it done.
Instead, the absolute shitshow of a month has meant that I've actually avoided doing it, so .. Hmm..
Still, at least Rychan's getting involved with the theme, and is attempting to get as much Flap Happy finished as he can.

Have you any unfinished projects?
Get 'em done!!!

; McWrapped

McDonald apparently have a really tasty wrap... So says Rockford, who posts his thoughts on said Wrap, but doesn't include any pictures!!
What kind of developer's snack based thread is it, without pictures!?!

; End of the Noodle

Jay gets a bit pissed off that ZenPop have shrunk the number of noodles in his monthly shipment, for the second time.

The star of TV's Airwolf passes away, this week.

; RIP - Hollie Ashurst

The senseless murder of a small defenceless child.

Hey Jay, lil feature request, Is there any chance the non socoder.net links could open in a new window by default? If not, that's cool, just reckon it'd be nicer for UX stuffs
Thursday, 14 March 2019, 10:19
I always made the assumption that links should default to same window, and you could ctrl-click/hold-touch if you want an alternative. That way, you get the option. If I force "new window", then there's no alternative. It's "ALWAYS " new window...

.. But.. Maybe it's about time I let that go!!

It's your call, I can always right click instead I guess

Now there is NO CHOICE!!!

Awww nuts, I hate that bug, thankfully it's usually an easy htmlentities() fix but sometimes, not so much Also, thanks for changing the links behaviour, it's much appreciated
