Hello World

A package came for me yesterday.
          hmm..
I hadn't ordered anything, so was slightly worried
as to what kind of dangerous weaponary might be
          awaiting my signature, this time.

Turns out, it was just a random PC magazine from
          Ukrania.

...I'll let you off, this time, Mr Machette...

If you buy issue 139 of a strange non-english
magazine, JNKPlat's on the coverDVD! woot!

Although they didn't send the DVD due to licensing
issues, so the only proof I have is "JNKPlat 2010"
written in small text, hidden amongst the list of
          included software.

     In the Shoutbox..
          XNA, Adobe, and Graduation!
          Congrats, DD!

     In the Mudchat..

Last Week

Nobody was visiting the Worklogs, because they
thought the WW stood for Wednesday Workshop, even
though we'd had a whole topic about it a couple of
          months earlier!
          d'oh!

     Things That Got Done
          Live Wallpaper
          RPG Work
          Other folk's RPG Work
          Plenty of Website Overhauls

Sprites vs Co-ordinates

j'ordos is having issues with a batch of sprites
that aren't quite lined up in such a way that his
          bullets appear accurately.

Waroffice!

          Socoder welcomes back WarOffice.
Um, there was more in the Shoutbox.. Kinda forgot
          about his topic!
          Welcome back, WarOffice!!

Ranty Bit

The Frontpage

Constantly making polls is ticking me off. What
else can go on the frontpage?
          Current suggestions include..
Why not make another page with all the sidebar
info, so I don't have to visit the frontpage?
Why not add another Shoutbox where we can type in
what we're doing, because, really, the shoutbox
          can't possibly already do that...
          and
Why not juggle things around, and not bother adding
something that is at least causing people to turn
          up daily.
          I hate asking for suggestions.

Android Spam

When you're trying to reach your audience, it
usually helps when the audience isn't wowing over
the latest stupid god damned Fart app.
Why the hell are they popular?!
Ooh, I can push a button and it goes "Puuuurp!!"
          Stupid god damn bloody kids.
In my days, kids were coding games!!!
          ..
          Lazy feckers..
          ....
          Gah!!
          ..
Noel's rant is more or less the same, but about
          Wallpapers instead!

Making little blue Avabars

HoboBen asked how I generate those little avabars
for folk that don't have them.
          Here's the code..
(or, how to use php to create pictures!)

Precompression

HoboBen tries to compress 1918151617 and finds it
          doesn't compress too well.

Precompression - Part 2

HoboBen finds that if he makes it "11111|98576",
          then it compresses much better.
