Hello WorldSometimes I really hate technology.My reliance on everything OS-based is rather worrying. The slightest imbalance and my entire world comes crashing down. The worrying thing is that I at least know what I'm doing. Luckily, my Mum isn't anywhere near as reliant on all this sort of stuff. If she were, and that all went tits-up, I'd probably have to deal with the whole "Fix my Everything", "I can't, it no longer exists" stuff. Geeze, it's bad enough when her phone goes a bit wonky, without having to somehow magically reinvent the entire contents of her universe. Luckily, I'm a good backer-upper, and when Windows decided to Auto-Update itself into oblivion last week, it only took about 5 days to get it all back.  Technology. Bah Meanwhile, I just found out that one of my plug sockets doesn't actually turn off when I hit the off switch. I have no idea how long it's been doing that, and, quite frankly, that scares the shit out of me!! When you disconnect your USB Harddrive from the Mac, hit the power switch, and still see it sitting there glowing at you.. That's a little bit freaky!! ... Want to add to the newsletter?
