Hello World


Typing this, late on a Wednesday night.
Was aiming for an early night, until I realised what day it is.
Ugh.

Spent most of today trying to get a selected MP3 from the user's desktop to play through the browser's Media functionality, such that the buffer/context is readable by the web audio API and the audio is representable by a lovely flickering set of spectrum led bar things.
.. Yeah, I don't think that's going to work out!

Browsers can do a lot, but security precautions can stand in the way of a lot of the capabilities that the browser should actually have available.
The fact that I've had to disable a ton of the security precautions for "local-host" content, in Firefox, is probably not a good thing!
Thankfully, I only ever use Firefox for testing this kind of thing, so .. I think I'm ok..

A shocking stat arose, that over in New Zealand the case numbers rose to over 100, and a national lockdown was imposed a result.
.. Whilst here in Britain we've reached over 100,000 deaths, and still the airports are working away, and people are haphazardly wandering all over the place.
Just a few days ago, Boris visited Glasgow, because of course he did. He probably had Dominic drive him there.
