I would normally go for the first option, unless I write a long list of constant/static values, then I'd prefer the second one.

Schererererererer The bottom line is though, that when/if you work on a team, you need to all agree to something. Whatever it is dosesn't really matter, but as long as everyone uses the same conventions then it's okay.

I second this. I've seen first hand projects become difficult to maintain because everyone is coding things entirely differently.
