For single player games on Amiga I always used keyboard, but when my mate and I played Alien Breed or RodLand or any other two player games, out came the mouse and in went the pads.

TBH there were very few games on any machine that I used a joystick for - even now I don't code my games with anything other than keyboard or mouse controls. I always prefer keyboard in a single player game.

rockford An Amiga only needs its mouse when doing mouse related tasks, otherwise it's redundant.

Blasphemy!

The Amiga was more than just a mouse you know!

Indeed.
It was a keyboard, and a floppy drive, and on some models a fascinating new-age world of HARD DRIVE!!!

Mine even has a Compact Flash drive, too!

And then there's the three lovely ladies, held within.
Paula, Agnus and Denise.

This discussion often comes up at work. You can tell the only child/posh kid 'cos he had a hard drive for his Amiga and an 8mb upgrade

my dad runs a little computer shop and has done since 1989 although I technically didnt own them I have played with and on pretty much everything.

I love the little C64 console, playing Chase HQ for days (summer holidays were spent in the game shop obviously!)
