Today I am mostly listening to ’’Fear’’ by Toad the Wet Sprocket. Fecking awesome album. I own two copies of it!

I've owed countless copies of the same album due to the fact media types change all the ruddy time...

i have a lot of CD and iTunes duplication in my Pulp selection, but most of those repurchases are due to iTunes having Deluxe editions with bonus tracks!!
I only finished off the last few Pulp repurchases for the sake of having a complete iTunes collection!!

But, no. Other than the Pulp, I haven’t duplicated much.

Came about due to, shall we say, a life event many years ago.

Couldn't get it in the UK so ended up having a shop get me it from the US. Forgot I'd done it, and did the same in another shop. Later got a call from both!

I've got cupboards full of CDs but they don't get used any more. Spotify for me, mainly.

When I was in Ibiza in 1998, I heard this tune in the EsParadis nightclub:-

Me, smack bang in the middle of the cluuubbbbbbb... Knocking out moves trying to impress a proper cutie, absolutely excellent night, and this came on, and it seemed to seal the deal!

So, few days later, I was in the music shop in San Antonio, and found it... £6, six quid, thought yeah, worth the memory, take a little bit of Ibiza home with me... So I bought it...

Got home, was down Durham in Virgin music a fortnight later, and aye... There it was... For sale, on cassette, for a bastard quid!

Suffice to say... There was grumbles!

I fecking hated that song! I still do.

When I was at Gremlin we used to have the radio on all day and when that bugger came on we switched over to Radio 1. When Radio 1 played it, back to Hallam FM!

lol, well, it brings back a fond memory, so I like it!

we switched over to Radio 1

Jesus, that bad eh?

I detest Radio 1, I cannot listen to it for the most part... When it is on, on a radio that I have no control over, I do like the Live Lounge mind, but, that's about it...

And the breakfast shows... God awful... Chris Moyles used to do my nut in "Saviour of Radio 1" my arse... Like many breakfast radio presenters, they are just good at talking shite and licking the arse of any guests they have in... And "Comedy Dave"... My ingrowing arse hair was funnier then him!

Chris Evans... Pffftttt... Need I say more... And then we have that nick grimshaw fella... Smug, smarmy, no talent and generally has a face his own mother would love to punch!

Just my opinion mind!

I generally CBA with radio. I don't mind the music but I can't stand tosspots like the aforementioned jabbering on about any old shite and trying to be funny.

Oh, and Nick Grimshaw always reminds me of the one out of Wallace and Gromit that isn't a dog.

You might enjoy this documentary about Chris Moyles. Well, I say documentary....

We tend to leave MagicFM on all day. It's not the greatest, and the music playlist is abysmally small.
.. But it's workable as background music, when you can't find anything..

Most radio stations are like that - just the same half-dozen songs going round and round, with some twatmonkey talking for ten minutes in between, wishing he was funny enough to do stand-up.

Yeah, that's something that Magic thankfully foregoes. Even with hosts such as the current breakfast show's Ronan Keeting, it's just enough time for the odd 4 or 5 sentences before the next track kicks in. (Although on the weekends, a couple of the hosts do tend to waffle on a bit)

.. To be honest, I'm not even sure that half the hosts aren't just pre-recorded snippets.. You hear so little of them that they may as well not be there!

I'd love to say I did, but... I didnt!

Well, currently, I'm sorta branching out on foreign music believe it or not, not sure why, but, I quite like it, it's different. I have a fave, she's Italian... I like Italian... Emma Marone is her name... But, I love just putting her CD on in the car and driving along, belting out her tunes as I go!

I have two of her albums, Adesso and Sarò Libera, and believe it or not, I know most of the words on them, I even sang occhi profondi:-

PS My mates think I'm weird, they'll be right like, but because of it, I have picked up a bit of italian, which may come in handy next year!

I find I can't enjoy a lot of european music. Because I know bits of French, and can therefore occasionally catch the odd word/phrase, I find that my mind tends to wander from whatever it is I'm trying to work on, into Translation mode, trying to figure out what they're singing about.
Very distracting!

I do listen to an awful lot of Japanese music, though. In fact, as I type, I have Perfume's Triangle album on.

Not a fucking clue what they're on about, mind.
