 		Zen replied with a short and sweet "We noticed the fault and fixed it" response.

Unless explicitly stated, from now on I’m going to assume these sorts of things are "because.. Shared Hosting", and that I’m hopefully not the cause of them!!
After all, I’ve done oodles of work to minimise the impact of SoCoder and AGameAWeek on the server. It really shouldn’t be my fault!!! I hope!

This was a server side issue on the shared server so needed to be resolved from our side, Possably with the number of concurrent connections, but we are still looking into this, you should not experience this issue again, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.


Proper service.
If this were GoDaddy, it’d have taken about 3 weeks to get to this point..

 		Servers really are one of most Dainty of technologies.

Ours went all crazy high with CPU usage the other day, resulting in slow website and a frustrated Ryan.

Contacted UH asking why this is, turns out permissions on one of the mail boxes had become corrupt, thus flinging EVERYTHING into a tizzy.

CPU usage is now nice and low again.

As always I ask their support if there's anything I can do to prevent stuff like this ocurring in the future and there really isn't much, aside from manually repairing them every few months.

 		Apologies if you just got a sudden influx of email notifications from the site.
Seems the Email Sending Cron Job .. wasn't doing what it was supposed to.
Hmm.
Might have to look in to finding an alt-method for that.
