App Game Kit Mobile

Seems this is interresting if you have a android or ios tablet. (phone maybe?)

It seems to be the complete App Game Kit (basic language) with a simple editor and for no cost what so ever. I installed it on the ipad and it runs quite well. There are a number of example projects included.

Not sure if anything big can be done on a tablet without a keyboard.

I so cant imagine coding on a 10" tablet... might be okay for small quick ideas but for a major project no...

Larger things wil be difficult without a keyboard and mouse attached to the tablet. I scrolled through a larger example project that was a thousand lines or so and it took a while to get to the bottom there.

I have been learning how to use agkmobile this night. I am liking it so far. I sometimes do not feel like using the laptop and I like using the ipad. A programming language was missing for me on that.

This is the first time I used something like the dark basic languages. Not bad. I am creating a tutorial pdf at the same time while learning agk basic. Noting the things I learn to get up and going. I wil put this online when It gets big enough.

btw:The terrain example project on the ipad is pretty impressive. The whole ios agk mobile package is only 45 mb I think.

edit : I am at 7 pages currently of a getting started/tutorial for agk mobile. Might be useful for beginners.

I've been using AGK2 quite a lot lately, quite a good bit of kit once you get the hang of it.

IMO, as soon as you hook up a keyboard to your tablet, you're essentially saying "I don't need a tablet... I need a laptop."

This app game kit thing is proving to be addictive. I have spend hours a day coding with agkmobile in the few days it is out.

The basic language is avanced enough to do anything i can think of.

I have kept adding to the tutorial and am now at 20 pages. Making a pdf on the ipad is doable also.

Last few days i have spend lots of time lying on bed typing on the ipad.

I now also installed agkmobile on my Android phone.

Does it allow you to import/export projects and files to and from the desktop version of AGK?

I noticed cloud support in the android version. Stil need to investigate that.

The iOS version has no cloud yet.

You can import images etc from the editor. Gui.
