That site's blocked in the EU, because some websites just can't be arsed to be global..
Here's a version that works, with horrific amounts of adverts.

I bet the firefighters were shitting themselves - flour is extremely volatile and explosive as dust in the air - https://recipes.howstuffworks.com/tools-and-techniques/question150.htm

The original link was this one, but it linked to another (which I posted). Maybe this one is better:

Any kind of grain dust is a hazard, flour, corn, sugar. Told Zoe they were lucky it did not take out the whole block and then damage the surrounding blocks.

When I was in Maryland the Domino sugar plant downtown exploded, huge destruction. Also, most places I have lived I have seen farmer's grain (usually corn) silos explode, which is why they are usually so far away from the house and normal barns.

Yep. I was just commenting on flour as that was what the story referred to.

We used to have a show in the UK called Brainiac that showed things like custard powder exploding etc. etc. Any scientific questions that viewers wanted answering they'd do (a bit like MythBusters, but with far more humour). At the end of every episode they'd blow up a caravan. Just because. It was a cracking show.

I know, was agreeing with you and extrapolating. Really were lucky that it did not explode, we would have definitely felt it, since we can see the building.

Still amazed at how explosive grain and powders are. Scary stuff.

Smells like burnt toast and do not think that smell is going away any time soon.
