Yeah, no numpad's the dealbreaker for me, there. I know I'm having to put up with a bloody MacBook without a numpad, but it is what it is.. If I'm specifically buying just a keyboard, nowadays, it's going to have a numpad!!!

Those buttons look neat, but .. you only get two!
My favourite desktop add-on was the PS1's Beatmania controller. Used to use Joy2Key and used it to make the big spinning wheel do MouseWheel functions. Could then use it to scroll through when editing videos, audio clips and more.
My god, that was a handy spinny thing!!!

As to the buttons, you can have four sets (total of 8) connected. Would be handy for inputting drum patterns among other things. Or even custom controls for a game.

I am with you on the numpad. I have always used a numpad for numbers and I love my HP I often use for the Internet, because of the numpad. That said, I have a USB numpad I bought back in Maryland that I need to dig out. Even on my Chromebook, I find myself reaching for the numpad that isn't there. Only my HP has one, but it is also a 15.6" screen, so the bigger screen allows for a bit more keyboard room. Might need to lookie on Amazon and order a couple of more USB numpads.

Biggest thing for me with keyboards nowadays is it must be lit. Only my HP isn't lit. And DAMN is that the handiest feature ever.

As someone who laptops on their lap, anything external (mouse included) proves to be cumbersome and awkward to use.

Only lappy I could use on my laptop is my Chromebook, as it has no fan and simply does not get warm no matter how much I use it. Windows lappys, Kuron's nuts would be roasting, not to mention the air vents on the bottom of certain lappys like the HP Being blocked making it overheat.

I am not tall, only 6 foot, but if I have something on my lap, there is no way I can hunch over enough to even see the screen, let alone read it if I could even see it.
