Today was a case of ruling things out.
If it turned out to be a noticable Inner-Ear crystal blockage thing, it would be an easily solvable problem, via the method of wiggling my head around and releasing the crystal blockage from the circular canals, back into the main blobby area of my inner ear.

Except it turned out not to be the case.

They're now assuming that something in the surgery caused "tweaks" in my brain, which obviously it has, or my tastebuds wouldn't be as screwy as they are.
The changes in brain activity, although minor, have apparently caused my head to deal with migraines in a slightly different manner to how it used to, which is bringing on extra dizziness and probably all the vomiting, too.
.. Although recently the vomiting is slowly but surely getting better, the diziness is very much a day-at-a-time thing.. Some days I can cope enough to stumble down to the village, whilst others in can barely get out the door.

Seems it's going to be a case of learning to cope with it, as opposed to a fixable thing.
Which sucks... :/

You'll surely get though it somehow, and with what you've been through this past couple of years you've been a tough little bugger. Be strong, we will all be there for you, to help keep your spirits up.

Ok, two days on and it's time to start the suggested "how to help your migraines" suggestions.. Nngh...

The general thought process being, if it's migraines that's causing it, perhaps we should tackle the migraines..
...my general perspective being "I've been coping with migraines since I wS 5 years old.. You're not going to magically fix this..."

First on the list is caffeine. Fucking FUCKITY fuck...
I'm now on a "No caffeine" diet for four weeks.
Should be fun.
If I appear to be marginally more cranky than usual, that's my excuse.

Nnnngh....

Caffeine is used in lots of medications, purely as a method to counter-act sedative side-effects.

I didn't mean that caffeine is in painkillers "purely" for anti-sedative reasons, but that in other medications it's there only to combat sedation (by way of acting as a stimulant).

Day one without caffeine. Managed well enough, but have a minor headache.
After a (very) short stroll to the end of the road and back, pretty much just lazier about, doing bugger all.
Hopefully tomorrow is marginally more productive.
...
.....
But I have my doubts!

Because "Caffeine can cause migraines!!! OMG!!?!?!?!!"

I think, over the coming months, we're going to play the "What could be causing migraines" game, which I've played a fuckton of times over the years. Every sodding time, they redo from start, ignoring previous attempts.
ugh...

Caffeine, Chocolate, Cheese, Computers..
The usual shit.

Pisses me off.

Yep. That's really a whole lot of shit to take.
As bad as the past couple of years have been for me, I'm really damned lucky that it's been a relatively safe journey. Sure there's been "OMG! BRAIN SURGERY!!!" moments, but otherwise it's been a case of plenty of rest and trying to get over it.
I kinda feel more like Rockford in this situation, in that I still feel like nothing really bad's actually happened to me.

You've definitely had it rough.. I'm just whinging 'cos I can't have my morning brew!!

That is so unlucky. I dropped a gearbox on my foot when I was about 23 and only suffered bruising.
