Dammit, My watch has been doing this randomly --

grrrrrr.

Apparently it's a known issue and I should be able to get a replacement, but I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle.

Hmm.. My old schoolmate Dave had an issue that sounded the same.
He's managed to get his replaced, so it should be easy enough for you to, too.

But I reckon you broke it, on purpose, just so's you had an excuse to get the Time!!

Its been doing that randomly for a little while now, there doesn't seem to be any reason for it, just now and then I look at the watch and get a nice scrambled mess.

On the plus side, pebbles canned reply came just seconds after reporting the issue. (Unlike my reset password request on a certain windows customizing website, which hasn't arrived after a few days now.) They just asked for a couple of photos and the serial no. So we'll see what happens there. I wonder how much it will cost to send this one back...

Wow, that was quick! Got an email today saying they're sending me a replacement Pebble and at some point emailing a prepaid address label to return my old one.

...and yet I still don't have that password reset email from that website...

"Please hang on to your charging cable and other accessories as backups for your replacement."

That was the best bit! Simple things, I know.

According to the delivery company tracking website, my replacement watch is very close. No sign of an email with a return address label though. I'd have thought an email would send from somewhere random in Europe a lot faster than a parcel!

It's a shame I couldn't recreate that glitch good enough to use it on the max headroom watchface

I had the same issue with mine. I was able to fix it by pressing any 2 of the buttons at the same time (strange, but it worked).

Also after opening it up it seems the issue is with the screen ribbon not being held in place properly and slipping about a bit.

Bloody 'ell, where did you pop up from!!!

Yeah, a loose wire sounds like the likely culprit, but I wouldn't know where to begin.
.. Spinal oughta have coped, though! Or at the very least, refashioned the watch into some kind of USB game controller or something

And rightly so... Large companies now talk the the talk... But ultimately, couldnt give a flying about customer care.
