Was thinking about getting an Atari Flashback 6 for my kid, til I noticed that I haven't even heard of 90 % of the games that are on it. No Decathlon, no Fishing Derby, no Hero, no Frostbyte, no Pitfall.... ffs... :/

I have one of the original "just the joystick" Flashbacks, and.. The sound emulation isn't quite right. Either that or they fudged the roms, somehow...

It's only Atari.. Grab a couple of digital joysticks and a decent emulator setup for your telly.
9 pin to USB?

I have one with a slot - it's a proper 2600.

Trouble is the games. They're quite pricey now to buy individually. Some are hard to find, and many of them have a weird issue with the glue on the cartridge label that makes it look like it's gone mouldy. It's happened to pretty much every copy of Decathlon I've ever seen.

I'm sure I read someplace that the flashback 2 can be modded to have a cart port...

...possibly here.
Yes, the Flashback 2 has a space marked on the mainboard for soldering in a cart port from a defunct 2600.
