A New Game

new, game, java, zombie, sandbox

What tends to happen when i make a game is, Im super enthusiastic about it, and then my excitement dies down. I end up having a game thatÂ’s 3/4 done and really, not that amusing.

However every single time I make a new game, I create something that I can use to make another process easier, better visuals/effects, or more efficient programming. That makes a huge difference in the game.

I went from a grid based “sandbox game” to to a Bomberman clone, to a puzzle game, and a really crappy platformer. After this I created a new collision and physics system for java, which i used in a maze game, and then a much better platformer.

After all that work (2 years of “innovating” so to speak), I’ve made a platforming/sandbox/zombie shooter. Although it works and has no real errors, It’s far from done because I haven’t added anything that would really “WOW” an indie gamer.

However, the game has allot of potential (as it seems) and I really think that I can make something really simple yet great out of this.
