As a Nintendo fan, I'm sorely tempted, but it's likely to just be emulation of the original system and I can do that on my Pandora, GP2X, Wiz, Caanoo and other machines.

But it's sooooo cute!!

Did you actually invest in that (Speccy keyboard)? How was it in the end?

It's an ok Bluetooth keyboard, but you don't want to try playing any games with it.
The Bluetooth lag vs the precision of Speccy games.. It's a fucking nightmare!!!!

That's pretty bad, considering that playing Speccy games was it's original premise

I'm VERY tempted by the NES, but I've owned cheap tv-games before, the emulation is usually a little off at best, usually the audio suffers the most. However, with this one being official, maybe they did a good job. I doubt though that there'll be any way to add/remove games from it. Some of those systems have connectors for famicom carts, but I bet Nintendo aren't so generous.

I'll deffo be grabbing one of these, it'll just be so much easier than grabbing the NES, cables, games out from under the stairs, the game selection is pretty damn nice too, I mean, I have all of the games on the list bar the original (non-super) mario bros sooo, yeah, looking forward to this!

nintendolife.com Sadly you can't use your original NES carts with the console - something even the most basic "Famiclone" offers - and there doesn't seem to be any means of getting new games onto it.

Well that's the homebrewer screwed then!

You can always use an everdrive nes cart and any decent famiclone instead if you're homebrewing NES.

Probably works out only about £30 more expensive in total.

|edit| Welp, looks like everdrives are a fair bit more expensive than I thought, ~ £80 - £110 for a cart! |edit|
