Dammit, got to get a plumber out now. The plughole in the hand basin has rusted through and came loose. Why would anyone make something that is designed to be under water out of a metal that rusts!

Geeze.
If it's not one thing, it's another.

Shouldn't be too hard to sort out, though, if it's just the circular plughole bit.
They usually have a screw in the middle that you can pop it out and replace it, but it depends how far down the rust goes.

Thats the problem with this day and age... EVERYTHING is expensive shite!

And expensive chinese shite as well!!!

I sorta had the same today, last week we took down some sprinkler pipes, as they were replacing a line of vents, and relocated them under the scaffold, so, obviously, there was still cover in the event of a fire.

Now, the original pipe work was hung, using pipe hangers, from the bolts that kept the vents sections together, if you get me...

So today, we got word the scaffold was coming down, as the new vents were in... So we stripped it, chucked it on the scaffold, and went to put it back up at its original place... Only problem we had is when we were trying to take the new nuts off the new bolts that kept the new vents together, again, so we could use them for the hangers... We found to our horror that these tight as out nuts and bolts werent made from metal you and me know, they were made from, I dunno... Could of been silver cheese!?! Silver ice-cream?!? Silver chocolate!?!

As soon as you tried to put a bit of pressure on to do the auld lefty-loosey with a spanner, the nut head rounded off!?!

Put an impact driver on it, secure a spanner to the nut or the bolt on the other side, hit the trigger... Instant round bolt!!!

I've never ever seen that happen!!!

They were the most cheap arsed bolts I've ever had the pleasure of f***ing grinding off in a long time!

Well, there aren't any local plumbing shops here and I've called a local plumber, nice guy. Had him out before when out stop-tap was leaking, came and cleaned it up, refused to let me pay his full call-out fee. Hopefully he'll sort this out super cheap.
To add to the issue, whoever fitted the bathroom was too lazy to properly secure the toiled and sink to the concrete floor, so they're cemented in!!!!! If he needs to actually get under the sink, he's in for a world of trouble.
