Links in site(loosing webspace)

My website from my provider wil cease to exist this december. The provider was bought and the new company is stripping it and trying to move the customers to use their services. Edit: i think I had it since around 2006.

I had linked stuff all around this site and god knows where else.

This was the site.

https://cromdesi.home.xs4all.nl/

I am not going to pay for a extra site yet. The site here wil loose some images and maybe files.

I'd normally heartily recommend Linode, but given the three outages we had in August, I'm not 100% sure on that.
Is GoogleSites still a thing? I haven't tried using that in ages.
At a last resort, you can upload images and zips under 10Mb to your SoCoder uploads, but that's likely not what you need, is it..

My provider has a free 10gb cloud service. I need to investigate if it can link images and files and html games.

I might start to flood the images uploads a bit here to keep my snippets and other? Things intact. I think I need to disable my Gamejolt things too.

Edit: I had a free 200 gb webdisk. This was from my isp.

Gosh, 200 free?! That (was) awesome!
Socoder's only on an 80Gb drive!!!

Yea, I'm using Google sites and blogger, just so I don't have to pay for hosting. And itch.io for the downloads.

Get out the FTP client, download everything from your site while it's still up. It'll save a lot of work for when you choose a new provider.

Did you just upload the site to the archive? I did not know you could upload it there.

LOL.. That's what Archive.org does! That's their origins.
Crawling and duplicating the whole of the web, with their amazing WayBack Machine.
You can set a flag in (I think it's) Robots.txt, and it'll remove the archive, but otherwise it'll grab anything it can find.

Thanks for the heads up on Wiby. I was completely unaware of it.

So far my site has stayed up. The new owner has just copied it somewhere I guess and let people continue using it.

They still might pull the plug at any time. Certainly when they want to cut costs for the shareholders?

Getting the forced new password and settings and the activation time was a bit of a problem.
