I'm embarrased to say that I don't remember H.R.Giger, even though I have seen the Alien films. R.I.P anyways!

 I'm embarrased to say that I don't remember H.R.Giger, even though I have seen the Alien films. Giger designed the Alien creature in Alien and Alien 3 (or rather came up with the original concept which others then re-interpreted much to his disgust later). He created lots of nightmarish creatures and organic monstrosities. He did the imagery for the Amiga game DarkSeed too. A lot of his bio-mechanical artwork was based on human sexuality and there are lots of naked body parts displayed throughout his work, a lot very phallic. If you want to check out some of his stuff look for the Necronomicon book. Some wonderful but terrifying artwork in there. |
