I just got this yesterday (after Jay reminding me it was the release date) and I must admit, it's a lot of fun. I'm finding it similar to all the previous mariokarts, not just in that it is Mariokart (obvious), but the control system and general feel of the game is just how you remember it from any version of Mariokart. Nintendo pulled this off with New Super Mario Bro's on the DS also.

Anyway, after playing with the steering Wiil, it does feel natural, but I kept trying to steer with the D-Pad, so I've gone back to the nunchuck controls.

What are anyone else's views on the game? does anyone have it yet?

Perhaps we should set up a friend match one day.



I'm putting my friend code here, if anyone else has the game yet, feel free to add me and play online. I think it's best to jump into mud chat when you want a game, so people know your online or something, maybe even set up a time in this thread?

anyway , I'll keep updating this first post whenever someone adds their code to the list.

I'm loving the wheel control, but yes, I have found myself trying to steer with the DPad on occasions..

I was in two minds when I read Edge's review.. they only gave it 6/10!

Wider courses to allow for 12 player have apparently killed the skill of the game.

Great game, I have no complaints so far.
(And have even come first in a couple of online matches, so I'm not entirely rubbish at it!! Makes a change!)

Personally I think it's a bit too hectic with 12 players, more a game of chance than a game of skill. My only problem so far, is that you cant reduce the number of players (I hate dropping from 1st to 12th by hitting a corner wrong, or getting shot by 1xgreen, 2xred and 1xblue shells in a row!!#@! That and not being able to find the brake when using nunchuck controls.

Jay - I'm up to level 84 on Puzzobomb, some of those levels are quite tricky. but at least up to now they're all possible.

Those "Vexed" levels contained a line of Solution data. They're all possible, because they all had them!
I didn't, however, include the solutions in the game, because A) That'd be cheating, and B) I couldn't quite work out how the heck they were encoded!
