Two years since the last thread... time to recommend some new films to watch!

I've been really enjoying Korean stuff recently. Oldboy (and the sequels Sympathy for Mr Vengeance and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance) and 3 Iron are ones that spring to mind.

Memento I also liked. At times, it feels like the story of my life!

Your turn - watched anything fantastic lately?

I watch bugger all, film wise.
I wouldn't mind watching 2012, but haven't gotten any time to do it, lately.
Probably wait for the DVD, next year!

I watched Trek again when I got that DVD the other week.
Not bad, but ..
I dunno, I was expecting more extras, to be honest!!

I kinda get the feeling they've started to rip off DVD buyers, so they can cram more on the Blu-Rays.

And, not forgetting the lens-flares, obviously, they're still annoying as ever.

I've been watching 2012 on wednesday, nice animations but that's all. But it was worth seeing Southpark s13e14 after that because it's a parody on the movie.

If you like Jack Black humor you could watch Year One.

I was probably the last person to see Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain, but I did this week and thought it was a good movie. I'm usually not big on French movies, but the exception confirms the rule.

Oldboy was great, and I liked Memento too. Interestingly enough I can't remember much about them apart from liking them, since my film memory is absolutely awful.

'2012' is a brilliant movie! Worth a watch if you're wondering how we're going to end up dieing.

There's also 'A Christmas Carol' with Jim Carrey which I haven't gotten to see yet, but it looks awesome!

Then there's 'Up' from Pixar. Dunno about Britain but it's coming on DVDs in the US in these days, so you might be able to get it on DVD or Blu-Ray.

And 19th of December 'The Princess and The Frog' will be released in the US!!!!1
Won't be released in Norway before February.

'New Moon' is also released in Norway right now. The critics says it sucks, but you might like it.

There's also 'Funny People' by Judd Apatow with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen. Not terribly good but OK.

And if you haven't seen it yet, 'Juno' is an awesome movie.

Oh yeah and Metallica's just released their new Live DVD from the Death Magnetic tour!!

You probably have, but if you haven't :
-A Fistful of Dollars
-For a Few Dollars More
-The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
-Where Eagles Dare
-Pale Rider
-Dirty Harry movies
-Unforgiven
-Million Dollar Baby
-Gran Torino

And yes, I am in a bit of a Clint Eastwood period, punk!
I also found the new Punisher movie with Ray Stevenson to be quite entertaining.
Other than that we have some Chinese movies!
-Beijing Bicycle
-King Of Masks
-Wheat

2012 was not that great. Only thing that made it worth watching at all was John Cusack, he's awesome.

I loved Star Trek at the cinema, might buy it soon.

Three of my favourite films include:
