 		it’s cheaper to buy a small USB powered touchscreen monitor and a netbook, then a touchpad of the same power. Maybe I should do that?

 		I'm actually thinking of buying a 24" monitor, and building a giant tablet. I'm sure you could also get a battery system worked out.

Might be a bit heavy having it on my lap, especially since I'd also want to be using a mid-range PC/laptop, not a netbook.

"surface" has always intrigued me, but.. .. Never seen one, and probably never will!

 		Aren't proper tablets pressure sensitive though?. I'm not sure but a stylus might damage a TS-monitor, as it might not be designed for the same job as a gfx tab.
