JL235	I was told it uses JavaScript. They were teaching this at the conference-teaching thing I went to at the weekend, but I didn't get to see it. Both of the BBC devs I met already knew about PMC, and loved it.

steve_ancell	What everer "based" it is, let's just hope it don't cost as much as a BBC Micro did back in the day, this could be a good thing at the right price and could really compliment the Raspberry Pi. \|edit\| Who knows!, is the Rasperry Pi becomming the new de-facto standard in-school computer?; maybe the next model will come with "BBC BASIC" on a fitted ROM chip just like the BBC Micro had, only this time the students may actually be able to have one at home due to the lower price and actually take their work home with them. \|edit\| \|edit\| The BBC Micro of the 1980's was a very pricey bit of kit as far as I remember, that's why most of us had ZX Spectrums and stuff. \|edit\|

Jayenkai	Aye, compatibility issues was a biggy, back then, but most Basic's seemed vaguely similar.. In fact, most of the "Games for Basic" type books were reusable on a whole bunch of systems. .. as long as they stuck to the simple stuff! .. having said all that, the site's vanished, and I've no idea what's going on there. .. wonder if it were actually BBC's to start with? -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''
