Oo-err... I'll have to obtain a brushless motor from the model shop, I think an OS-40 would melt the foam.

|edit| Come to think of it though, I've got a few engines laying about, so I could change the material to balsa wood, or a mixture of the two. |edit|

yes, steve, the power mousey is a Trekkie of sorts.
I do like some of the Star Wars but I'm more into Star Trek.

I like the original ST. Yet, the STNG was a whole lot better. I especially like Data, Worf, and Jordi LaForge.
I also liked Q a lot and Guinian too. Q was cool and had a lot of laughs.
Didn't get much into DSN but I like ODO and also Quark.

The one that really shined for me was STV. Captain Janeway was cool and one tough mother of her ship. And she could kick the other Captains' butts too. I also like the Doctor. The holographic doctor. He was played by Robert Picardo.
Didn't get too much into Enterprise. But like the episode of about the first encounters with a group of Borgs on planet Earth. whoa!! and wow!!

live long and prosper
with a lot of cheers

Oh well, crap happens !. The plane in the last three pictures at the top of this topic was test flown today. It hit the ground better than it hit the sky, sumfink went a bit Pete Tong and it took to the ground like a brick. Ah well... back to the workbench.

sorry to hear about that.
Can you fix it or repair it??

Steve, dude, what happend?
You should've whipped out that communicator,
hail the ship and have Scotty beam you and
the plane aboard the Enterprise.

by the way here is some nomeclature
of the Star Trek tv shows and series.

ST--> Star Trek, the original series.
STNG-->Star Trek: the Next Generation
DSN-->Deep Space Nine
STV-->Star Trek Voyager.

there was also the Enterprise one with Quantum Leap
actor Scott Bakula.

perhaps Steve, you can take a break from your
workbench and watch an episode or two.

It probably is repairable, but it's also very badly smashed. It hit the ground so hard, I found the engine, fuel tank and reciever battery about 100 yards away from the rest of the remains. It's just something that happens in the world of R/C. Supprisingly though, the engine and electrics are all OK, so even if I don't bother to repair the plane, the guts can be used in another plane.

|edit| A few of the club members including myself, had a lot of fun with the little red/black/yellow pylon racer though. That one was flown without any trouble, so that's a bonus. |edit|

now I see why this is such an expensive
hobby and interest.

I'll keep to such interests such as
lifting weights and isometrics, programming,
dancing and martial arts, and reading books too.

they don't cost very much and you can't
break them either.

Actually... Lucky enough, that one wasn't that expensive. It was only £95 with an engine and servo's thrown in. The engine's worth about £40, and the servo's about £10 each and there were 4 of those, so in theory the plane only cost about £15. I've just started putting some gear into another plane, so that's where the reciever and battery from the crashed one are going to end up being installed. I just hope that one's gonna' fly.

@ Agent Smith...
The airframe was a write-off

LOL... write-off doesn't even come close to description. Basically, half of the airframe no longer exists.

um...well I think I'll just
stay on the ground myself.

No flying for me, please.
Just on the ground
eating my cheese.
And watching Season 3
of the original Star Trek
and on Dvd.

It did come down with a bang though, and left a nice dent in the ground. If it had been about 50 yards before, I would have felt sorry for the sheep. LOL

Invisible six-foot, three-and-a-half-inch tall rabbit named Harvey !. Well at least I know, from now on, when things go wrong, I can always blame it on the bunny.

actually a pooka.

an entity or spirit that took
the form of a giant rabbit.
I wonder why. None Dare Call It Conspiracy.
another good book to read.

Yet, in reference to the movie....

I wonder why the filmaker and even the authoress of the
play chose a bunny. Innocent and cute. Was there more to it. hmmmmmm....
