DD wanted me to do this a while ago, and since I was a bit bored yesterday, I finally decided to do it.

That speed-up makes you seem awfully quick Although you probably are. Hopefully not that quick though.

But you did cheat a little bit, starting out with a block of code at the start of the video. Nevertheless, an interesting watch.

Indeed, the initial block is my mainframe, consisting of the Highscore stuff, my bog-standard titlescreen, and the 2D-in-3D stuff.
Would've done just as well without all that. But it's fun to add them in, if only for a bit of transparency.

WOOT! I'm watching it now.

As suggestions for the future, why not do this more as a tutorial, like talking over it too. So it's say a 30 minute talk over 2 sped up hours. Or it could be at normal speed with you speeding up the repetative/boring bits.

The problem with this is that it's kinda hard to see what your doing at various points.

Yeah, but YouTube only lets you store 10 mins of vids.. I was surprised that 2 hours fit, so snuggly into that limit!!

And, to be honest, that took 2 hours to upload, and then half a damn day for them to turn on the High-Def mode.

Times that by half an hours of video, and it'll just piss me off

Couldn't you upload it as a flash video and host it here? You could use CamStudio (which is free). I use it at work and it compresses very nicely.

But where you host and it's overall length aren't my main points. My main idea was that say I could watch your video and then have an understanding of what you did to build that game. I don't mean understand each line of code, but more the process you went through and what you did at each stage.

That I think is what would be really interesting and I think it would bring in more users to SoCoder.
