Iphone game prototype

I've done multiple prototypes of this "bootleggers" game but am never 100% happy of it. I'm sure I'll get there

Nice idea. I've been playing Turf Wars quite a lot over the past couple of weeks, which is a great little "pop-in, pop-out" type of evolving game. If this'd do that, too, then it'll be great!

Although, understandably, to then get a duplicate version on the iPhone would be a bit tricky!

For solving your distribution problem, you could try splitting the city up into areas each with their demands that naturally go up and down over time. Some items like alcohol and tobacco might have very stable trends, which are more or less constantly at the same level. Other items might only be popular in bursts, but are worth more. In order to sell stock in an area you need to pay for a 'warehouse' where it's stored just for that area.

I'm thinking something like you set a minimum price and as long as people are willing to pay it then it's sold automatically from the warehouse.

Moving supply from one warehouse to another takes time, and you pay for the amount your storing. So if you produce too much then you pay for storing unsold stock. If markets bottom out then you need to move the stock to another warehouse.

Thanks for your help -- I really appreciate it. I wasn't sure how the socoder community would react to the prototype I am making.

I will post more info when I get or rather build it.

I don't think I could make it duplicate Turf Wars; I'm not that good at iphone programming.

Oh, no, I wouldn't expect anything that big. What I meant was that you can jump into it, play for 2 mins, have it save as it goes, then hop back out again for play later. I love that about Turf Wars, that you don't ever really play it for more than 5 mins at a time, and yet it's ever building, and constantly growing.
