Got five hours to spare? Why not try putting a screen protector on an iPad!

Tried one on my iPod a while back, but the thing never seems to "slide" properly afterwards.. almost like the protector was gripping my finger. My iPhings have been naked ever since!

They can be a nightmare. It took more than several attempts to get my screen protector "good/clean/bubble free enough" for my Touhpad. Not helped by the fact that every millimeter of my house is covered in invisible dog and cat hairs - honestly, you can't see them until you pull out sticky tape or plastic like a screen protector!

I had to wash the protector a couple of times to get the crap off of it.

I've put protectors on my iPod Touch and mobile phones too - none were as much trouble as the TouchPad's though, due to it's larger size for the most part.

You never get a perfectly smooth finish and they always tend to add inertia to your finger, but I feel that they do work.

right, off the the £1 shop to get an other one (maybe two). It seems they get a little damaged after peeling and sticking and peeling and sticking and peeling etc.

Ok. Fairly happy with it now. Nice matt finish, but it's about 1.5mm smaller than it should be, no problem, there's just a line at the top, nowhere near the screen. It has a slight 'grip' to it, which I like a bit.
I just hope it does it's job and stops the screen getting a fingerprints so fast

Nothing stops the fingerprints. Believe me. These protectors can make them look not quite as bad, but it will still look like shit after 5 minutes use!
