To be honest I think this is good. The button click UAC control is absolutely useless security-wise and completely misses the point about separating admin/root from normal account usage and no-one will ever bother to make two accounts just to separate the two themselves.

They should release a "Windows 'I know what the fuck I'm doing' Edition" for folk who are comfortable with a mouse.

The main problem I had with Ubuntu, was that the damn thing wanted a password for every damn thing I wanted to do, even as admin... create a folder, give myself permission to use that folder, copy a file to the folder I just created then gave myself permission to use... and now Windows is doing it.
I think Windows 7, just like 98, is the peak of what Windows can be.

I too think that Windows 7 will probably stand out as the best version of Windows for the majority of users (especially with "God Mode" activated, not that that really adds a great deal).

There is no perfect OS, but Windows continually has me saying WTF?

OSX has me saying that every time I start my Mac up. But then, to me, every piece of Apple software is the same. Shite.

Thankfully only my son has Windows 8 and I don't have to touch it very often.
