Love it

By the way, I'm thinking about starting a KickStarter for Flappy Bird ONLY on OUYA (just to piss off the cunts over at the unofficial forum) would you care to support it with a testimonial?

Amazon's new console will be out in March and will be powered by Android. Hopefully Amazon will exercise some control over what gets on the console so it will not turn into the mess Ouya has.

But that in itself is another problem - being dictated by some faceless organisation about what is acceptable with draconian controls.

Yeah, the community is full of assholes, but there are plenty of goodly folk over there too.

Does the Kindle Fire only have access to the Amazon market or is it able to access Google Play (and other markets)?

I wonder how different the markets are and whether Amazon do stifle/censor the availability of apps.

I am interested in Amazon's new console. Neither OUYA or PlayJAM (GameStick) have the marketing power that Amazon has and this will be seriously pushed and promoted.

I don't particularly like Amazon as a company - I deplore some of their business practices and their reported poor support of devs (and "ownership" of apps), but I can see that they are the way forward for Android gaming on a console.

|edit| However, I suspect that the device will be more of an XBone than an OUYA - ie an all-in-one media device rather than a gaming specific machine. Especially since they are buying rights to tv channels and have their own media on demand system already in place.
