Here's a one... I don't live with the girlfriend, and her internet is pure pap and she's not fussed about the Internet or out... So, the question is, would I be able to get broadband in her house, but in an account in my name... I've googled and all it bangs on about is getting broadband without a landline, which isn't what I was asking the stupid thing? Experience on the subject please?

So, your broadband package on her phone package? Not sure.. But if you use a none-standard provider, maybe.. Depends if the "line rental" is part of the broadband package or not.

Had a quick browse, and most seem to take over the line rental, too..
No idea though. Give someone like TalkTalk a ring, and see what they say.
The fact that you'd be locked into a 12/18 month contract would probably be the biggest worry... Might just be easier to pay for the whole lot.

When I lived with my cousin for a while, when me and my dad had a falling out, I used my NTL/Virgin modem at his place when the account was still in my dad's address. They never twigged onto to it either.

I should imagine you could have an account in your name at her address, business men don't normally live in their offices and yet they have accounts at those places.

I tried ringing BT but ended up just going round in a circles then when I was in a queue I was in forever and give up!

I'll just have to ring them back and have a bit more patience, though all I want to ask is basically is can I have a broadband account at her house, but billed at another address, and if it goes tits up with her I'll be able to do one of them home move things anyway, so the contract thing isn't an issue as I surely should be able to jog it along!
