Aaaah, that makes sense. Unfortunately, just posting it in English with no explanation just killed it. Translated jokes rarely work where language is the key to the humour anyway though.

Having said that, if a joke needs an explanation it kills it anyway...

A bit like Shakespear. Some of his work was really funny at the time it was written because it was in context and people understood it but today you might need to read up on some of the language and references to understand it and it just becomes humour that you 'get' rather than actually being funny.

To further explain:
