I've not tried Google Chrome, however Opera already has quick searches in the address bar. I just type g to search google, w to search wikipedia and so on. Customizable too!

Google isn't that powerful and they would be one of the last companies on my list to do something mischievous

You never know... one of there emplyees might turn rogue and sell everyones info

Although they do hold search history on there severs for 16 months or so (i think it was 16 anyway)god knows why :?

As for the browser... I just went back to ff and opera.
