Should be fine... I use my crappy LG Optiums One phone and my Nexus 7

I went for a Nexus 7.
The reason I went for that, was because it's a "Clean" version of Android. It's not got any annoying niggly crap-a-thon apps that the manufacturer has decided are "A Fantastic idea!"
My HTC crap-a-thon Wildfire has so much shite on it, that it's barely functional.
Given that the version of Android running on it, is so mindbogglingly out of date, that Monkey things won't even RUN on it, (and HTC would rather I "upgrade my phone" than simply update the fucking software) it's pretty damn pathetic.
So I learned from my mistake, and have vowed never to go for second-rate devices.

Are Samsung devices as bad? I'm not sure.

The Google Nexus 7 is an "As is" device, is clean, is "proper", and is good for testing. It also seems to be the device of choice on the Monkey forums.

.. but in the end, if it works on that, chances are it'd work on most other things. I think, from Monkey experiences, you're pretty much safe in that respect.
If it works, it works.
.. in theory!

Looking at the specs, it's much better than my phone (which doesn't work very well). Plus I have credit at a local store, so ill be getting it less than half price of a new one.

Kewly! Nothing quite like a bargain!

If it helps, all the Samsung Galaxy Tab's are showing up under "compatible devices" so you should be pretty safe with it.

My Samsung Galaxy Ace works fine with App Game Kit, so I could probably safely say that your Galaxy Tab should be fine with monkey. AGK and monkey are sort of similar in the way of cross platform.

Easy way to test, Steve... Grab this, see if it works!

I downloaded Hoppy Bobby onto my phone a few days ago, it seems to be working just fine, that's a bloomin' good game you made there Jay.

Then I see no issues. If its cheap enough, there's no harm in grabbing it.

... But if you use it as much as I use my Nexus 7... It'll definitely be a "test device", and little else!!
