Woot! New phones are always fun to lay with.. ....then they become a part of daily life, and you kind of forget all about the cool things they can do!!

I'm downloading GLBasic and seeing how that runs Logic Battleships and Nags Heed Darts... Fingers crossed I wont have to do much/anything!

Yeah, it's a nice piece of kit for £180, only problem is, EE never had any sim cards for my contract, they ran out as something mucked up during the week on EE's network, and some sims didnt work afterwards, hence, they have none left... So, they are sending one out, on PAYG until I get my hands on that, which, could be a ruddy fortnight! :/

But, it is a sweet little phone... Been playing nice!

Mmmmmm, sound doesnt work, and the game screen needs stretching (Cannot be arse with creating a zillion different sized assets), I was sure you could do that in the manifest xml file... Cannot remember now though... Mmmmmmm?

Sound requires that you put the full path in for Android so you'll need to use something like this -

You might have to play around with the extra path bit, as the current dir might actually link to the "Media" file anyway.

Remember that Android is VERY fussy with regards to upper/lower case. IF you have a sound called "sound.WAV" and you try to load it with "sound.wav" it won't be found. Also Android is fussy on the correct format for your sound - .OGG for music and a certain bitrate for .WAVs.

There are a number of ways to scale the screen to the correct resolution - virtual screens, automated scaling in code and from the .XML. As I'm using fixed screen resolutions with OUYA I do my own scaling, but automated scaling may be much better/faster, especially on other devices.

Well, I've had a play, and, erm, cannot get it to scale in XML... Never mind!

Though, I have a signed apk file now for Asteroid Dodge, sorted that, will try and get ads in somewhere, cannot charge for it like, lol, but, would like it to make something, they'll be none intrusive to the game itself, just got to rejig the main screen a little or something, will have a peek... Now, I'm going to order myself chicken curry, fried rice and a bag of prawn crackers... Been mucking about all day, I've just realized I'm hungry!
